From 8.30 am to 4.30 pm Monday to Friday, the Palazzo delle Esposizioni's Art Workshop has dreamed up a fun, quality alternative for children to spend the first few weeks of their summer holidays after schools break up. We offer children aged 5 to 11 four full weeks in which they can explore themes ranging from art to the cinema and from yoga to the circus. Based on a weekly schedule, each day is specially devised for "sporty types" and "aspiring boffins" alike!
Our theme this year is "telling a story" using different artistic languages and styles, from strip cartoon and photography to illustration. The workshops will be taking their cue from photographer Berengo Gardin's reportages, the Mooks' wood-cuts and sculptures, the works of Correggio and Parmigianino and the books in the Art Bookshelf collection.
Tours of the exhibitions and workshop activities will be accompanied by a selection of art films alternating with yoga, mini-circus and dance classes.
