27 October - 7 November 2000

The exhibition was dedicated to one work, Buena Memoria, by Argentinian photographer Marcelo Brodsky (born in 1954), who lived in Barcelona during the period of the dictatorship and now lives in Buenos Aires once more. Like other works by the same artist, its focus is the defence of human rights. The exhibition was held for the first time in 1996, at the Collegio Nacional di Buenos Aires, the same school where the artist attended his first year of high school in 1967. Buena Memoria is a blow-up of the class picture for that year, on which Brodsky has superimposed the current photographs of his classmates who survived, adding other elements and biographical information on their lives and those of classmates who disappeared during the dictatorship.

The exhibition was curated by the cultural association ‘Ponte della Memoria.'
