S8ZERO/Project Room

The Believe exhibition represented the most recent development in the work of artist Adrian Tranquilli (Melbourne, 1966), English by birth, but resident in Rome, marked by its reworking of images from the most diverse contexts, presented in an arrangement emphasizing the state of crisis in which the culture and models of contemporary society find themselves.

Tranquilli created a set route for the S8ZERO space where, in an alternation of compressed and expanded spaces, there was a succession of sculptures, multimedia installations, video, and an interactive work, introducing the observer to the artist's imagination populated by apparitions, presences, characters from the world of comics (the world of the superheroes), and from cinema, the history of art and religion. The works on exhibition were The Incredible Hulk (polyurethane, chalk and resin), The Roundabout (plaster cast and resin, granite powder), the installation Ecstasy The Golden Dream (sculpture in resin and sound), the video in three parts Imperfect Future, the photographic works Evidence and The Day After, and an interactive work involving drawings produced by the visitors.
