Johnny wakes up after a five-year coma. His life has turned upside-down: his girlfriend has left him, he has lost his job and his friends have disappeared. Yet he discovers he has acquired mind-blowing powers that allow him to foresee the future. Cronenberg draws inspiration from Stephen King's novel and creates one of his most classic films in terms of language, by focusing on the inner conflict of the main character, excellently played by Walken.
