After losing her daughter and husband, who was a famous composer, in an accident, Julie is helpd by the conductor's assistant to complete an unfinished concerto. The first masterpiece in the Colours Trilogy, an enigmatic and intense exploration of freedom as an unachievable ideal, the film won the Leone d'Oro award in Venice.

Seventy-nine Poles, men and women between the ages of seven and a hundred, answer three questions: When were you born? Who are you? What do you like best?
