The decalogue
This grandiose work in ten parts revealed Kieslowski's genius to the world. His probing gaze, suspended between the secular and the spiritual, revisits the commandments in a surprisingly topical key and each episode places the spectator at the very heart of an ethical dilemma in which chance and need, love and egotism clash ceaselessly.
