In the film that he made for his diploma in movie school, Kieslowski recounts the motley humanity that peoples the city in which he lived for years: children in the streets, women workers throwing a party for a colleague, and an amateur song contest are only a few of the episodes that make up this lively and affectionate mosaic of voices.
