Larry is a journalist who is constantly on the lookout for scoops.  One evening a colleague (whom he later discovers is in fact dead) offers him a very special edition of the newspaper:  tomorrow's.  In this film, Clair, who had no difficulty adapting his themes or his style to the Hollywood movie industry, has put together an unimpeachable comedy that has spawned more than one imitation.
