Chasing after the idea of a crime as the perfect aesthetic gesture, two wealthy students kill a friend, conceal his body in a chest and throw a party in their home – only to be caught out by their own professor.  Filmed in only ten long takes, this is one of the most astonishing examples of Hitchcock's genius as a director.
