Gaston and Lily, two thieves in love, manage to get themselves hired by the wealthy Madame Colet with the intention of stealing from her, but when Gaston starts flirting the woman their plan falls apart.  Lubitsh said of this film:  "In terms of sheer style I don't think I've ever done anything better".  A sheer masterpiece.
