Marco Lodoli. Rome in the Romantic and Symbolist Eras - encounters

28 april 2011
Free admission

A tale, midway between an autobiography and a novel, by author Marco Lodoli:  "Hanging on the wall in the sitting room of our old house in the country there is a picture with my family's entire family tree on it.  The first man at the bottom, my family's own personal Adam as it were, is Joseph Anton Koch, an early 19th century German painter who came to Italy and stopped in Olevano Romano, where he met Cassandra and learned to soften his brush strokes, merging the light of the South with the rationality of the North".
