In 1963, Pier Paolo Pasolini travels through Italy to shoot a documentary investigating Italians' relationship with sexuality, love and morality. Divided by themes and places, the documentary passes through urban cities' middle class to rural peasantry.
Interviews are commented by the psychiatrist Cesare Musatti and the writer Alberto Moravia.
