USA 1973, directed by Terrence Malick, starring Sissy Spacek, Martin Sheen, Warren Oates
color, 95’, 35mm, Italian dubbed version
Holly kills the father of his girlfriend, and the two lovebirds flee into the heart of America, leaving a trail of blood behind them. Malick's first feature quickly became one of the cult films of the Seventies, thanks to its disillusioned look that lacks any cheap sympathy for the rebellion of two lost souls in the endless landscapes of the badlands. Springsteen draw inspiration from this film when he wrote the song Nevada.
