Four artists won the V edition of Centre-Periphery, the international competition promoted by Federculture, with the support of Acea, to discover young artists under 35 years old.

 

Among the 28 finalists, up to 500 candidatures, the Scientific Committee - Pio Baldi, Marco Bazzini, Silvia Evangelisti, Matteo Lafranconi, Ivan Novelli, Michelangelo Pistoletto, Ludovico Pratesi,  Luigi Ratclif, Oliviero Toscani, Maurizio Vanni - chose two photographic works:

 

- Simulatory city (city landscape) by the Russian artist ANDREY ABRAMOV, promoted by Consolato Onorario della Federazione Russa nelle Marche;

 

- La mia Casa (Alessandra) by the Sicilian artist RORI PALAZZO, promoted by Centro d'Arte Piana dei Colli - Comune di Palermo.

 

The Popular Jury, made up of the visitors at the finalists exhibition that took place last June at Adrian Temple, chose:

 

- Pot Pourri, by TANIA BRASSESCO & LAZLO PASSI NORBERTO, artistic duo promoted by Regione Veneto;

 

- Fora da fila, by the Brasilian artist IAN GUPER, promoted by Ambasciata del Brasile.

 

This year, together with the exhibition of the winners there will be a sort of open archive of the competition. In the central area of Spazio Fontana there will be the show of the winners 2012: Tania Brassesco & Lazlo Passi Norberto, Ian Guper, Andrey Abramov, Rori Palazzo.

While in the surrounding corridor there will be the works of the past edition winners: Wilson Abreu; Elad Armon; Guldane Araz; Nicola Bettale; Nicola Bozovic; Maria Chiara Calvani; Estefania Cipriani; Raffaella Fornasier; Lilve Garcia; Lina Hakim; Vineta Kaulaca; German Lagña; Francesco Mernini; Nicolantonio Mucciaccia; Michele Parisi; Anja Puntari; Shinya Sakurai; Alessandro Scarabello; Enrico Tealdi; Tiziano Torroni.
