A London teacher who is pretty hopeless with women rents out a room to a man with innate sex appeal. When the lovely Nancy enters the scene, rivalry between them is soon the name of the game. This comedy, that perfectly captures the spirit of Swinging London and won the Palme d’Or in Cannes, mixes “surrealism, candid camera, adertising technique and optical and musical atmospherics” in an irresistible cocktail (E.
