The aspiring and unappreciated comedian Rupert Pupkin dreams of appearing on Jerry Langford's famous TV show. He will end up kidnapping his idol in order to make it. A caustic and hilarious comedy that doesn't fret over exposing the cynicism of show biz and the obsession for celebrity, nowadays a global phenomenon. De Niro and Jerry Lewis, the latter in one of his best roles, give everything they've got in a vibrant display of skill.
