A father and son wander through the no man’s land of Rome’s suburban dumps in a picaresque journey fraught with mishaps and adventures, accompanied by a speaking crow, a Marxist in the grip of a crisis. The tragicomic mask of Totò is the outstanding protagonist alongside the dreaming face of Ninetto Davoli in this surreal journey through the ruins of an existence, at the end of all possible ideological illusion.
