Famous painter Claude Zoret falls in love with Mikaël, one of his male models, but their relationship is undermined by Princess Zamikov, who seduces the boy for the desperation of Zoret. One of the very first film to deal with a homosexual love story, Mikaël is another masterpiece from the great Danish director, whose introspective and visionary poetry has been speaking to the hearts of filmgoers for generations.
