Trying to flee a miserable and hostile environment, the 14-year old Christiane and her boyfriend Detlef discover heroin and climb all the steps of drug addiction. One of the most harsh and unsettling cult film ever, based on book written after a 45-hours long interview with the real Christiane Vera Felscherinow, who survived her tragic addiction, the film sports a famous cameo by David Bowie, while some of his most popular songs can be heard on the soundtrack.
