(USA 1940) directed by George Cukor, starring Katharine Hepburn, Cary Grant, James Stewart, b/w, 112’, 35mm original language with Italian subtitles

Some times after her former marriage's end, a young and spoiled heiress from Philadelphia is about to marry again - to a parvenu. But her first husband tries to take her back during the wedding rehearsal. Director Cukor masterfully orchestrates an almost perfect comedy, full of hilarious misunderstandings, romanticism, plot twists and three movie star at the top of their game: James Stewart won an Academy Award, but still the duets between Katharine Hepburn and Cary Grant are unparalleled.
