On the space station orbiting around planet Solaris, a scientist commits suicide and two others show sing of madness. A psychologist is sent to investigate. He'll discover Solaris' disconcerting ability to materialize human memory and subconscious. A visionary work which reached a cult status, "it has a hypnotic power that glues the audience to the screen by means of never-before-seen images" (Morandini). The film is presented in a restored uncut version.
