(USA 1964) directed by Samuel Fuller, starring Constance Towers, Anthony Eisley, Michael Dante
b/w, 93', 35mm original language with Italian subtitles
While fleeing from her past, a prostitute reaches a quiet little town and lands a job in a hospital for disabled children. Finally a fresh start for her life, and a new love too, or so she thinks until an unsettling event turns everything upside-down. A cult-movie for a whole generation of film buffs, this is one of the oddest works by director Fuller, juxtaposing violence and tenderness with unbelievable skill. The POV shot that opens the film is a classic sequence in the history of Cinema.
