Mark discovers that his wife Anna is cheating on him. She denies the obvious and this leads to violent fights between them. Mark begins to tail her and discovers a chilling truth. Director Zulawski's film is a visionary and unclassifiable work, whose ability to explore the darkest side of the human spirit still leaves contemporary audiences breathless. Isabelle Adjani's performance is unbelievably strong and won her the award for Best Actress at the Cannes Film Festival.
