Jessica Drummond is a rich mistress that rules a county in Arizona by unleashing 40 hired guns. When federal agent Griff Bonnell and his brothers show up, Jessica strives to keep her power while falling in love with Griff. Forty Guns looks and feels like a western b-movie, but it is also a visionary work, full of great cinematic moments. On release, Jean-Luc Godard worshipped it, and in the subsequent years it has achieved cult status.
