directed by Frank Capra, William T. Hurtz. USA 1957 – original version with Italian subtitles (Documentario, 55’)
An extremely rare and surprising experiment by the great Frank Capra, who tries his hand at a documentary on space with three famous writers for his leading characters: Poe, Dickens and Dostoyevsky, represented by amusing little puppets. This intelligent mix of live cinema and animated cartoon, which benefited from a substantive contribution from Disney cartoonists and renowned scientists alike, seeks to explain the complex story of research into cosmic rays from the late 19th century on.
