Twenty-five years after the premature death of Ketty La Rocca (La Spezia 1938 - Florence 1976), the Palazzo delle Esposizioni commemorated the artist with an exhibition which, in addition to well-known works such as Via col vento (Gone with the Wind) and the Craniologie (Craniology) series, also included the Specchi (Mirrors) installation, which had never been staged and had until then remained at the planning stage.

Since the 1960s, the work of Ketty La Rocca has expressed radical criticism of the consumer society, not without a certain lyricism, denouncing the falseness of information, the situation of women, and the arbitrary powers of the State and the Church. She was intensely committed to these issues and continued to show her commitment despite the precarious health that affected her for much of her life.

Exhibition curated by Lucilla Saccà.
In conjunction with the exhibition at the Palazzo delle Esposizioni, the Museo di Arte Contemporanea e del Novecento (Museum of Contemporary and Twentieth Century Art) in Monsummano Terme (Pistoia), presented the installation Punto di Vista (Point of view).
The catalogue of the two exhibitions, edited by Lucilla Saccà, contains texts by the curator and by Renato Barilli and Lara Vinca Masini, as well as an anthology of the artist's writings and a critical anthology edited by Rossella Moratto, published by Pacini Editore, Ospedaletto (Pisa) 2001.
