An encounter with, San Ling, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. In English

Singapore, a tiny country close to the equator, is famous for its impressive economic development and is one of the most densely populated countries on earth. But is it really just an urban jungle where biodiversity is limited to concrete and steel structures, or can the aim of becoming a “City of Nature” be more than a mere paradox? In this encounter, San Ling, the Dean of Nanyang Technological University, will be taking us on a journey to discover how Singapore is blending nature into its urban fabric, revealing surprising strategies for promoting biodiversity in a highly developed and advanced city-state.
