We need a global approach to health issues: that is the proposal put forward by the One Health Movement, which considers the complex relationship between the human population and the environment to be inseparable. So, health involves the ecosystem as a whole and includes the major environmental changes caused by natural catastrophes and human activity. But how can we preserve biodiversity if it is in such jeopardy? Professor Bernardino Fantini will be illustrating two historical examples of the reduction of biodiversity, the new awareness of recent decades and the new prospects for the future.
